The new CS Software Studio is really taking off.

Student groups are currently working on multiple projects, and many events and tech talks are in the works for the School of Computer Science.

Students will have the opportunity to hear from Jeff Moore, Director of CCEW, this coming Tuesday in the new studio at 5:00PM.

Dr. Atiquzzaman Receives "Best Paper Award" at 2013 IEEE International Conference

 September 2013 R & D Highlights

 

 

The paper entitled "Bandwidth-adaptive application partitioning for execution time and energy optimization", authored by Dr. Mohammed Atiquzzaman received the best paper award at the 2013 IEEE International Conference on Communications (ICC'13) (http://www.ieee-icc.org/2013/) held in Hungary in June 2013. ICC is the flagship conference of the IEEE Communications Society and is held annually around the globe. The paper discusses how to partition a task between a cell phone and the server to optimize energy and execution time, and is a topic of increasing interest due to recent proliferation of apps on mobile phones.
