September 2013 R & D Highlights
The
paper entitled "Bandwidth-adaptive application partitioning for execution
time and energy optimization", authored by Dr. Mohammed Atiquzzaman
received the best paper
award at the 2013 IEEE
International Conference on Communications (ICC'13) (http://www.ieee-icc.org/2013/) held in
Hungary in June 2013. ICC is the flagship
conference of the IEEE
Communications Society and is held annually around the globe. The paper
discusses how to partition a task between a cell phone and the server to
optimize energy and execution time, and is a topic of increasing interest due to
recent proliferation of apps on mobile phones.
